Weapon safes and metal racks

Twenty years ago, one could not even dream of acquiring a weapon. Such "liberties" were allowed exclusively to law enforcement agencies to ensure civil security. But with the passage of time, a lot has changed significantly.
Today, in order to acquire a weapon you need:
• write a handwritten application to the permitting service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs for territoriality;
• provide originals of certificates from narcologist and psychiatrist doctors;
• pay state fees;
• at the place of registration, it is necessary to provide for inspection and verification of availability to the employee of the permitting service weapon safes or metal racks.
The main requirement that is put forward is quarterly reporting to law enforcement agencies regarding compliance with the basic rules and regulations for the storage of firearms. If a situation arises when you had to immediately use a weapon, you should report to the licensing authority in accordance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts.
The owner of a firearm should remember that when changing the place of registration, when owning a weapon, you should immediately notify the internal affairs bodies to make changes to the registration forms. In addition, the owner needs to equip new metal racks and weapon safes for storing firearms and ammunition at the new place of registration. This is a prerequisite for changing the place of registration, otherwise the licensing authority has the right to draw up an administrative protocol on violation of the rules and conditions for storing weapons and issue a fine. If this kind of violation repeats throughout the year, a law enforcement officer has the right to revoke the owner of the license to own and store firearms.
The legislator has not dubbed clear norms on the reasons for the storage conditions of weapons, so many confuse storage safes and metal cabinets. At first glance, absolutely identical objects, but if you look closely, they are completely different. So, the safe is made of special metal, of a certain thickness, with a corresponding layer of sand, resistant to mechanical damage from outside, and has an anti-burglar device. A metal cabinet is the complete opposite of a safe - in fact, it is just a cabinet made of metal, which is unsuitable for storing firearms, despite the fact that the storage of weapons in it is not prohibited by law.
