Today is the last day of the International Energy Forum "Russia's Fuel and Energy Complex in the 21st Century", which opened on April 8 in Moscow. The main topic of the forum was “World Energy: New Vectors of Development”. Forum participants discussed global energy trends, strategic plans of Russia and in the field of heat supply.
The use of gas has recently become a decisive factor in the development of the metallurgical industry, mechanical engineering and many areas of our life. For the population, heat supply directly depends on gas, and some use gas boiler in Moscow and other cities for individual needs. The Forum draws the attention of visitors and participants to the issues of energy security and technical re-equipment of the Russian fuel and energy complex.
The forum participants are unanimous in the opinion that in the coming decades the use of gas will determine the further existence of the world economy. Thus, Great Britain needs new sources of gas supply, among which pipeline gas from Russia is considered to be very attractive. At the same time, experts note that Asia will most likely play a central role in international gas markets in the future.
Russia can give a worthy answer in this situation. Russia now holds a leading position in the export and production of gas at the world level, and therefore it is necessary to develop a strategy in order to be on top. The 2013 Forum focuses on Russia's active participation in the formation of international energy, the creation of global and domestic markets in this area. A round table was held to address topical issues of the highways of Eastern Siberia.
This year the forum traditionally worked at the Expocentre Fairgrounds. He brought together Russian and international specialists, leading scientists of Russia. The Moscow International Energy Forum has become a meeting place for representatives from 30 countries and 40 organizations in Russia.
