The project, based on 100% scrap as a raw material, has an EDP capacity of 0.75 million tons per year, while introducing an environmentally friendly production process. The official added that the electric arc furnace technology reduces carbon emissions compared to traditional methods.
He noted that this is the company's largest investment in the northern region of the country, while the total investment is expected to grow to $352 million after the completion of the second phase of the furnace expansion.
