Colombia's iron and steel exports decreased by 43.8% in the first quarter of 2026
In the first quarter of this year, Colombia exported 15,034 tons of ferronickel, which is 52.0 percent lower, worth $46.13 million, a decrease of 56.8 percent year-on-year, as announced by the National Administrative Office of Statistics of Colombia (DANE). In March alone, Colombian ferronickel exports totaled 15,034 tons, up 24.2 percent, and were worth $46.13 million, up 11.1 percent in both cases year-on-year. $88.56 million, down 43.0 percent from last year.
