The production of the French metallurgical industry in March 2026 increased by 0.3% compared to February

According to statistics published by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE), industrial production in France decreased by 0.3 percent month-on-month in March this year after rising by one percent in February this year. In January-March, French industrial production increased by 0.9 percent year-on-year and decreased by 0.9 percent quarter-on-quarter.

In March, the production of base metals and finished metal products in France, excluding machinery and equipment, increased 0.3 percent month-on-month after remaining unchanged in the previous month.

On the other hand, in March, French production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers increased by one percent month-on-month after falling by 1.2 percent month-on-month in the previous month, while output from the domestic construction industry decreased by 0.2 percent month-on-month in the given month after falling by 1.3 percent in February compared to January. In January-March, the volume of production in the domestic construction industry decreased by 1.3 percent compared to the previous quarter.
