In April, Zaporizhstal produced 193,500 tons of pig iron, 156,600 tons of crude steel and 159,100 tons of finished steel, which is 31.6 less. percent, 42.1 percent and 30.3 percent year-on-year, respectively.
In January-April of this year, pig iron production at Zaporizhstal amounted to 1.01 million tons, which is 10.5 percent less than a year earlier, while production of crude steel and finished steel amounted to 914,700 tons and 819,600 tons, respectively, decreasing by 10.2 percent and 5.3 percent, both year-on-year.
Zaporizhstal stated that the decrease in production indicators was due to the unscheduled shutdown of the company's production facilities caused by the attack of the Russian army on the region's infrastructure. During the period of forced downtime, a complex of repairs and maintenance of production facilities and sewage treatment plants was carried out to increase the reliability of their operation in the future.
