According to export data from the U.
S. Department of Commerce, exports of hot-dip galvanized sheets and strips (HDG) to the United States totaled 100,047 tons in April this year, down 10.5 percent month-on-month and up 3.2 percent year-on-year. In value terms, HDG exports totaled $149.61 million in April 2026, compared with $165.66 million in the previous month and $143.98 million in the same month in 2025.
The United States shipped the most HDG to Mexico in April, with 63,339 tons, compared with 71,016 tons in March and 63,270 tons in April last year. Mexico is followed by Canada with 36,339 tons. There were no other important HDG exports from the USA (1,000 tons or more) in April
