The government of the western Indian state of Goa has received 59 bids for the current auction for 24 idle dumps of low-grade iron ore, a government official said on Thursday, June 18.
The official stated that after opening the technical applications, 59 applications were recognized as valid out of 110 tender documents received.
24 idle low-grade iron ore dumps have a total volume of 41 million tons. The final number of qualified bidders will be determined after evaluating a detailed project report submitted by each of the 59 bidders, the official said.
He added that this is the second round of auctions for idle iron ore in landfills, following the successful auction sales of one landfill in the previous round.
