In this month, the country's steel production increased by 9.8% compared to the previous month and by 11.2% year-on-year. In the first half of 2026, Ukraine produced 3.66 million tons of pig iron, which is 0.2 percent less than last year, and steel production during this period amounted to 2.94 million tons of rolled products, a decrease of 4.3 percent year-on-year.
Ukraine reports a decrease in pig iron production by 0.2% in the first half of 2026
In June of this year, pig iron production in Ukraine amounted to 670.6 thousand tons, which is 5.7% month-on-month and 1.3% year-on-year, according to the Ukrainian Metallurgical Association Ukrmetallurgprom.
