Production for the week ending July 11, 2026 decreased 0.9 percent compared to the previous week ending July 4 2026, when production was 1.856 million net tons and a capacity utilization rate of 80.4 percent.
Production was 1.771 million net tons for the week ended July 11, 2025, with a capacity utilization rate of 78.2 percent. Production for the current week represents an increase of 3.9 percent year-over-year.
Adjusted year-to-date production through July 11, 2026 was 49.952 million net tons, with a capacity utilization rate of 78.8 percent. This is up 5.9 percent from 47.171 million net tons in the same period last year, when the capacity utilization rate was 77.0 percent.
