Swiss-headquartered mining company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, announced production results for the first half of 2026.
In the first half of this year, the company's iron ore production fell 54.1% year on year to 1.56 million tons. In particular, the company's production of pellets amounted to 1.38 million tons, decreasing by 36.1 percent compared to the same period last year. In particular, the company's total DR pellet production was 163,171 tons, up 99.5 percent from the first half of the previous year.
Ferrexpo remains focused on managing its costs and operations to protect its working capital while operating under extremely tight conditions.
The company continues to optimize its product mix between pellets and concentrate, and manage customer distribution. In addition, over a long period of time, there has been a reduction in operating costs for all activities that will need to be addressed in the future.
