HBIS Laoting Steel to build 7.967 billion yuan wide thick-rolled steel production line

The Chinese steel company HBIS Company Limited from Hebei Province announced that in order to optimize its product range and create a leading domestic base for the production of broad and thick rolled products, its subsidiary HBIS Laoting Steel Co., Ltd. plans to invest 7,967 billion yuan (1.2 billion US dollars) in the construction of a new line for the production of hot-rolled wide and thick-rolled products with a width of 5,600 mm. Upon completion of the project, the annual production volume of hot-rolled wide and thick-rolled products will amount to 2.42 million tons.
