Acerinox's second-quarter earnings rise as US business and EU trade measures boost results

A. announced financial and operating results for the second quarter of this year.

The company reported a net profit of €71 million in the quarter, compared with a net profit of €5 million in the second quarter of 2025, while its net sales were €1.58 billion, an increase of 14.3 percent year-on-year. Additionally, Acerinox's second-quarter EBITDA rose 85.3 percent year-on-year to €176 million.

In the second quarter, the company's steel production increased 9.4 percent year-on-year to 540,000 tons. Additionally, hot-rolled steel production rose nine percent from the same quarter in 2025 to 42,000 tonnes, while cold-rolled steel production stood at 318,000 tonnes, remaining flat year-on-year.

Acerinox said its second-quarter results marked a clear turning point. reflecting a significant improvement over the first quarter, supported by the strength of its business. Commenting on the results, CEO Bernardo Velasquez said the company's North American operations continued to be a key driver of profitability, while the European market began to show signs of improvement following the introduction of new trade measures.
