In June of this year, iron ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland increased by 1.3 percent month-on-month and decreased by 5.3 percent year-on-year, amounting to 51,710,492 tons.
According to information published by the Port Hedland Authority, in this month, iron ore shipments from Port Hedland to China totaled 45.11 million tonnes, up 3.1 percent from the previous month and down 8.2 percent year on year. South Korea and Japan followed China in March, receiving 3.66 million tons and 1.57 million tons, respectively.
On the other hand, iron ore shipments from Port Dampier in June increased 13.6 percent month-on-month and 4.3 percent year-on-year to 13.56 million tons.
