Coal producer from Shanxi Province Shanxi Coking Coal Energy Group Co., Ltd. (Shanxi Coking Coal) announced that the mining licenses and safe production licenses for its subsidiary Xiqu, Zhenchengdi and Malan Mine have recently expired. The Xiqiu mine suspended operations on July 23, 2026, and the Zhengchengdi and Malan mines suspended operations on July 27.
The Xiqiu, Zhenchengdi and Malan mines are subsidiaries of the company, with a combined approved annual production capacity of 8.2 million tons, accounting for 17.23 percent of the total approved capacity companies. The company is currently taking proactive measures, coordinating with relevant administrative authorities and making every effort to complete the licensing procedures.
The issuance of mining licenses for the Xikyu and Malan mines was completed on July 27, and the company is now beginning the safe production licensing procedures. Meanwhile, Zhenchendi Mine is simultaneously processing applications for a mining license and a safe operation license. After completing the relevant permitting procedures at these fields, the company will organize a systematic resumption of production as soon as possible. The company said the temporary suspension of operations at these mines is not expected to have a material adverse effect on its production or operating results.
