During the quarter, the company recorded a net profit of €25 million, compared with a net loss of €19 million in the same quarter of 2025, while its operating profit was €38 million, an improvement from an operating loss of €21 million.
Outokumpu stainless steel shipments increased by five percent quarter-on-quarter and one percent year-on-year to 488,000 tons. Ferrochrome shipments increased by four percent quarter-on-quarter and 12.9 percent year-on-year to 114,000 tons, driven by sustained demand for low-emission European ferrochrome.
In the first half of 2026, Outokumpu's sales revenue grew 0.8 percent year-on-year to €3.03 billion, while adjusted EBITDA increased by 32.3 percent to €164 million. The company made a net profit of €18 million, compared with a net loss of €37 million for the corresponding period in 2025. Stainless steel supplies remained stable at 953,000 tons, while ferrochrome supplies increased by 13.7 percent to 224,000 tons.
