Exports of Brazilian slabs in July totaled 612,500 metric tons (thousand tons) compared to 642,200 tons in June, according to Secex, the secretariat for Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
The slight decrease was attributed to shipments to the United States, increasing from 61% to 81% of the total, while shipments to Europe decreased from 39% to 19% of the total.
Ternium shipped 244,800 tons to the United States at $643 per ton, ArcelorMittal Tubarão exported 143,500 tons at $623 per ton to the United States, 40,000 tons at $558 per ton to France, 31,000 tons at $591 per ton to Germany and 3,600 tons at a price of $519 per ton to Spain, while ArcelorMittal Pecem supplied 108,500 tons at a price of $621 per ton to the United States and 41,100 tons at a price of $567 per ton to Spain on all FOB terms.
From January to July 2026, Brazil exported 3.847 million tons of slabs, compared with 3.885 million tons for the same period in 2025, which is generally stable. a result that highlights Brazil's position as a key player in the commodity slab market.
