Steel exports from Turkey in January-July 2026 increased by 1.6% year-on-year to 11.37 million tons, according to data released by the Turkish Steel Exporters Association.

In pipe production and in the pipe segment, exports of welded pipes decreased by 5.3% year-on-year to 1.08 million tons, while exports of steel construction components, meanwhile, increased by 3.3% compared to compared to the same period last year, it amounted to 648,000 tons.
Romania was the largest steel producer in Turkey. the export direction for the first seven months of 2026, despite a 13.1% year-on-year decrease in shipments to 962,000 tons. Exports to Italy also decreased by 5.1 percent year-on-year to 795,000 tons.
The UK recorded the most significant growth among the leading steel sales markets in Turkey. Shipments to the country increased by 90.1% year-on-year to 700,000 tons. Turkish steel exports to Ukraine, Yemen, Egypt, and the United States also increased by 7.2%, 5.7%, 29.4%, and 17.2%, respectively, during this period, while shipments to Spain and Morocco decreased by 41.7% and 14.6%, respectively. as a percentage, respectively, on an annual basis.
