Uzbek steel mill Uzmetkombinat has announced the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with Chinese steel producer Baigong Steel, covering the development of raw materials, the production of rolled products and potential new metallurgical projects.
The agreement was signed during a visit to China by a representative of Baigong Steel. The delegation of Uzmetkombinat was headed by Bahodir Abdullayev, Chairman of the Management Board of the company. During the negotiations, the companies discussed cooperation in the development of the Tebenbulok field in Karakalpakstan, the Temirkan field in the Jizzakh region and the Zakkan field in the Surkhandarya region.

The two companies also agreed to cooperate in the production of rolled products.
