Between January and July of this year, passenger car production and sales in China totaled 14.967 million units and 14.988 million units, down 5.5% and 5.4% year-on-year, respectively.
In July alone, passenger car production and sales in China totaled 2.246 million units and 2.268 million units, respectively, down 2.1% and 0.9% year-on-year, with a decrease of 5.4% and 5.6% compared to the previous month, respectively.
In the first seven months of this year, passenger car exports from China totaled 5.354 million units, which is 72.5 percent more than last year.
In July, Chinese passenger car exports totaled 922,000 units, up 2.0 percent month-on-month and 84.6 percent year-on-year.
