Japanese electric arc furnace manufacturer Osaka Steel announced that it plans to gradually resume shipments of finished steel from its Kumamoto plant in western Japan on August 17, while production is scheduled to gradually resume from about mid-September following the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Kumamoto Prefecture on July 28.
