The volume of industrial production in the eurozone in June 2026 has not changed compared to May

In June of this year, seasonally adjusted industrial production in the eurozone remained unchanged, while in the 27 EU countries it increased by 0.2 percent compared with May, according to data released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

Industrial production rose 0.3 percent in May in both the euro area and the 27 EU countries. In June of this year, compared to June 2025, industrial production increased by 0.1 percent in the eurozone and 0.6 percent in the EU27.

Compared to May, production of intermediate goods decreased by 0.8 percent in the euro area and 0.7 percent in the EU27 in June, while energy production increased by 1.5 percent in the euro area and one percent in the EU27. In the current month, the production of capital goods decreased by 1.4 percent in the euro area and by 0.9 percent in the 27 EU countries. Production of durable consumer goods increased by 0.3 percent in the euro area and 0.9 percent in the EU27, while production of non-durable consumer goods increased by three percent in the euro area and 2.5 percent in the EU27, on a monthly basis.

Among the Member States for which data were available, in June, the highest growth compared to the previous month was recorded in Denmark (5.4%), Croatia (5.2%), Lithuania and Finland (2.1% each), while the largest decrease was recorded in Luxembourg (-10.7%), Portugal (-3.9%) and Estonia (-2.2%).

Compared to June 2025, the production of intermediate goods increased by 0.4% in the eurozone and by one percent in the EU27. In the same month, energy production increased by 0.9 percent in the euro area and 0.3 percent in the 27 EU countries, while production of capital goods increased by 0.1 percent in the euro area and 0.9 percent in the EU27, year-on-year. During the month in question, the production of durable consumer goods decreased by 2.5 percent in the euro area and 0.9 percent in the EU27, while the production of non-durable consumer goods decreased by 0.5 percent in the euro area and 0.3 percent in the EU27.
