According to preliminary data from the US Department of Commerce, imports of hot-dip galvanized sheets to the United States in June this year amounted to 77,277 tons, which is 14.7% less than in May and 41.8% less than in June 2025. In value terms, HDG imports in June 2026 amounted to 81.0 million US dollars, compared to 94.5 million US dollars in the previous month and 153.5 million US dollars in 2025.
In June, the United States imported the most HDG from Canada - 38,777 tons, compared with 38,270 tons in May and 60,825 tons in June 2025. The other largest sources of HDG imports in June were South Korea (17,526 tons), Austria (4,813 tons) and Pakistan (3,398 tons) (3:1 ratio).
