According to the Chinese Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in January—August of this year, car production and sales in China amounted to 20.255 million and 20.315 million units, respectively. In annual terms, both indicators decreased by 3.8%.
In August, production and sales of passenger cars in China reached 2.684 million and 2.712 million units, respectively. Compared to July, they increased by 4.3% and 4.9%, but decreased by 4.7% and 5.1%, respectively, in annual terms.
