Wallurek has been gradually expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia for almost 65 years. In 2022, Vallourec signed a long-term agreement with Aramco to supply high-quality locally produced OCTG pipes.
The company said it continues to invest in Saudi Arabia through research projects and initiatives aimed at expanding its manufacturing capabilities. These investments are also aimed at expanding local production of products needed for new developments in the country, including the development of unconventional resources.
"This agreement is a testament to the strong relationship that Vallourec has been building with Aramco since 1962. This reflects the mutual trust between our two leading industrial groups and further strengthens our ties," said Philippe Guillemot, Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Vallourec. Guillaume added that the company's presence in the local industrial market allows Vallourec to better serve Aramco and ensure the security of supplies to Saudi Arabia, despite the current logistical difficulties.
