Indian state-owned steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) produced 9.6 million tons of steel in the first half of the fiscal year 2026-27 (April-September), a slight increase of one percent year-on-year, according to a company statement released on Tuesday, October 6.
The company's finished steel production for the reporting period amounted to 8.39 million tons, which also indicates a slight increase of one процент.
SAIL's total installed capacity is about 20 million tons per year.
