The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between Turkey and Ukraine entered into force on October 1, 2026. The reduction of customs duties is provided for in the product lists covering trade in goods under the agreement, which enters into force on January 1, 2027.
According to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Trade, the Turkey-Ukraine FTA was signed in Kiev on February 3, 2022. The process of Turkey's ratification of the agreement was completed with a presidential decree published on October 4. 2024.
The ratification process by Ukraine was completed after approval by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on July 31, 2026. After the completion of the ratification processes by both sides, the agreement entered into force on October 1.
