According to the company's statement released on Friday, October 9, Indian JSW Steel Limited achieved consolidated steel production of 7.27 million tons in the second quarter (July-September) of fiscal year 2026-27, which is five percent more than last year.
The company's consolidated steel production in the first half of the fiscal year 2026-27 (April-September) amounted to 13.86 million tons, an increase of four percent year-on-year.
The company reported that the capacity utilization of its Indian facilities was 88 percent in the second quarter, while the capacity utilization in September 2026 was about 90 percent, as the blast furnace (DP)-3 of its mill in Vijayanagar was increased after a previous shutdown for capacity upgrades.
