Swiss company Trasteel Holding S.
A. completed the acquisition of the remaining 40% stake in the Italian company BBC Alloys S.r.l., increasing its stake in the company to 100%.
The deal is a continuation of Trasteel's previous acquisition of a 40% stake in the Italian company BBC Alloys S.r.l. The acquisition of a 60% stake in BBC Alloys marks the completion of the company's takeover process.
Trasteel strengthens its position in the ferroalloys segment by acquiring them for 1.7 million euros
.The acquisition was completed on September 30, 2026 through a wholly owned subsidiary of Trasteel International S.
A., which acquired a stake from a minority shareholder of Metco S.r.l. for approximately 1.7 million euros. Initially, Trasteel acquired a controlling 60% stake in BBC Alloys in June. 2025.
BBC Alloys, headquartered in Milan, specializes in the production and distribution of standard and noble ferroalloys, base metals and related products. steel mills and foundries in Italy and other European markets. Its processing and logistics center in Tortona provides crushing, sorting, sizing, screening and packaging services..
Following the acquisition, BBC Alloys CEO Lorenzo Bagliano will continue to lead the company and will also assume responsibility for the ferro-alloy activities of the Trasteel Group.
