In Moscow, IT conference for metallurgy enterprises was held

Last week in Moscow, as part of the All-Russian Week of Metal, the 7th specialized conference "IT for metallurgy enterprises" was held.

As the organizers of the event emphasized, an increasing number of Russian metallurgical plants and companies pay great attention to modern business processes built on the introduction of automated management systems and an effective presentation of the company on the Internet.

At the Renaissance Hotel in the center of Moscow, where the conference was held, the leading managers of the Chelyabinsk MK, Pike Automation, OMK, IBS, Uraelelectromed, ChTPZ, AFM Consulting, Ural Steel, representatives of the NLMK and Urals and Brock-Invest-Service.

The conference was held under the slogan "Design the Future" and touched on the topics of reducing costs when introducing systems of the MES type, automated renovation management systems, ASUTP, and the issues of optimization of infrastructure and IT services management were raised.

The company Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant became the winner of the competition “Best Internet Project among Metal Processing Manufacturers”, the corporate website of OJSC “MMK” took first place in this nomination. Magnitogorsk IT managers were able to conquer the jury members with a high level of graphic execution of the site, its ergonomicity and informativeness.

And, despite the fact that metallurgy is a rather “inert” industry, I am pleased to see in the program of our conference the reports on projects that can be deservedly called advanced, and not only in Russia, but throughout the world. Over the 8 years that we have been holding this conference, it managed to occur by the standards of such a rapid development of technology very significant transformations.
