Modern drainage systems

Современные водосточные системы

As it is widely known to specialists in the construction industry, that the gutter is an important element of any roof of a building or structure, and to be precise - a roof drainage system. In terms of its functional design, it is an element that is necessary for efficient and timely drainage of water flows from the roof. At the moment, several major professional manufacturers of drainage systems and accessories for them (RainWay, Alta-Profil and others) are represented on the construction market.

If we consider in more detail, the drain is a certain system, which consists of special gutters and risers, which, in their combination, carry out an organized drainage of wastewater. Gutters are divided into internal or external, it depends on the design features of the structure or the building itself.

It is important to know that the cost of modern drainage systems and the gutters themselves is influenced by a combination of factors such as: material of manufacture, dimensions or dimensions, a set of components.

The gutter is also often referred to as the roof drain system. As a rule, the most cost-effective solutions currently offered for sale on the market are made of galvanized steel. At the same time, modern systems for water drainage can be made from special polymers. Polymer systems are more expensive than galvanized solutions.

By design, internal water drainage systems combine the following structural elements:

  1. header row,
  2. special piping
  3. multiple receiving funnels.

A separate row is occupied by the so-called unorganized water drainage systems. These are usually installed on small buildings with pitched roofs. In this case, the drainage of water is carried out directly into the ground, and not into the city sewer.

Metal systems are divided into:

1. Made of aluminum. This is the most durable option, but requires the use of a special sealant or glue during installation.
2. Copper products. They also have a long service life, but copper is quite an expensive material.
3. Galvanized steel. Less durable than previous options, but also resistant to corrosion, mechanical damage, negative weather conditions.
