Any plant or manufacturing enterprise uses a variety of devices in the course of its activities. Industrial equipment is a set of mechanisms and machines that affect the subject of labor during the production process. It can be considered as a set of functional units, parts, mechanisms. Today there are many types and applications of such devices. The most global classification is the division into:
- industrial equipment for transportation;
- engine machines;
- processing devices.
The first type includes vehicles for the transport of goods (truck crane, conveyor, conveyor). The second is used to convert various types of energy into mechanical work (electric motor, turbine, steam engine). The third type is tools. Such devices, using mechanical work, process, process materials, produce products (machine, press, automatic line).
Machine-tool type of equipment is the most important and varied one that is used in any manufacturing enterprise. The largest segment of this type is metal processing devices. Metalworking machines are used in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, building materials industry. Woodworking machines are used in the fuel, forestry and woodworking industries, and are also used for the manufacture of building materials. The light industry cannot do without the use of machine tools for processing glass, ceramics, and hard plastics. Also, machine tools include devices for soldering and welding, which are also used in the listed industries.
When it comes to transportation, equipment is divided into oversized and oversized. Depending on the method of exposure to the product, machines are divided into mechanical, chemical and thermal. Equipment used in a particular industry is called specialized. Interindustry devices are called universal: the same machine can be used in completely different areas of activity.
