Currently, solid fuel boilers are made of steel or cast iron. Cast iron ones have a long service life, but at the same time they are ineffective - most of the generated heat goes away with smoke directly through the chimney. Steel ones are more efficient - they consume much less heat transfer fluids to produce the same amount of heat, but they are not as durable as cast iron if the thickness of the boiler steel is not thick enough. Steel is much cheaper to operate than cast iron.

The most popular at the moment are Polish solid fuel boilers for long burning Wichlacz. In Ukraine, the production of this heating equipment has also been established, which is in no way inferior in quality to Polish, but differs favorably only in price.
