The connecting nipples of such filters are manufactured with a right-hand thread. The material is most often brass or bronze compounds. This makes it possible to exclude the rapid formation of a corrosion film and the settling of oxides in the place of the thread. The concentration of oxides at the joints leads to rapid electrolysis erosion of the inner surfaces of the pipe.
