It is especially difficult to search for a problem area when the cable lies in the ground and it is impossible to inspect it. For such cases, the P-900 receiver is used, which quickly determines the location of the malfunction.
Scope of P-900 device use
Multifunctional Receiver P- 900 can perform various operations, which include:
1. Detection of traces of connected lines due to the induction method.
2. Measuring the depth of the electric cables.
3. Search for a broken winding using the acoustic method.
4. Detection of short circuits anywhere in the cable core.
These capabilities of the receiver allow you to quickly identify a breakdown on the line and carry out repairs.
Design features of the P-900 receiver
The receiver has the form of a transportable monoblock. The device is easy to carry due to its low weight. The complete set of the receiver includes sensors that allow performing acoustic and induction methods of searching for disturbed areas, a power adapter and headphones for receiving a signal from the sensors. The front panel of the device includes:
- power switch;
- jacks for headphones, sensors and headphones;
- information indicator;
- resistor for setting the indicator;
- receiver control buttons.
When the receiver operates in acoustics or induction mode, it is necessary to operate the P-900 device together with generators that increase the power. Thanks to this, the defective area on the cable laying line is determined faster.
