Stages of learning foreign languages
Experienced teachers recommend constantly training pronunciation and carefully studying the theoretical material presented in the program. The learning outcome depends only on the student himself.
Levels of foreign language proficiency:
1. Beginner (A1). Includes knowledge of basic rules, poor vocabulary and vocabulary;
2. Basic (A2) - the ability to freely compose preferences or write small notes;
3. Conversational (B1 and B2) - knowledge of the basic rules, an extensive vocabulary, the ability to freely express and understand native speakers;
4. Advanced (B2 and C1) - excellent understanding of the rules, the ability to constantly communicate in a foreign language, conduct business correspondence and engage in non-professional translation;
5. Advanced or professional (C1 and C2) - knowledge of the smallest nuances of the language, the ability to engage in professional translation and use technical terminology.
The training program includes classes for studying the theory of a foreign language. Group lessons are considered to be the most effective as students can practice together to improve their language proficiency. In groups of 5-7 people, students with approximately the same level of knowledge usually gather.
Exam preparation
The CEFR Assessment System provides basic methods for assessing the level of proficiency in each of the European languages. It is on its basis that many programs are drawn up for training and testing the acquired knowledge.
Extralingua French Language School prepares students for the DALF and TCF exams, but you can always stay at the basic or conversational level. It will be enough for communication in French.
