There is a wide variety of different batteries, which differ not only in the amount of stored energy, but also in shape, applicability (built-in and external batteries), size and other indicators.

These devices operate on electricity generated by chemical reactions. There are such types of modern storage batteries, which are most often used in modern intercoms:
- Lithium-ion. They are characterized by high energy consumption, small size and availability. They are most widely used in mobile phones. This type of technology is already obsolete and has been replaced by a more practical kind of battery.
- Lithium polymer batteries. These devices have much better energy efficiency ratings than those described above. It is more difficult to make a lithium-polymer battery (Li-Pol) than the previous one, but this is compensated for by its more compact dimensions, as well as the ability to give it almost any geometric shape. These advantages are used by manufacturers of ultra-thin phones.
