What affects the price of metal tiles
The first thing the cost will depend on is the manufacturer. More well-known brands will naturally cost more, and an unknown metal rolling machine will take really pennies for its product. But this is exactly the case when the price depends on the quality. A “manufacturer” who rolls sheets in his garage, roughly speaking, cannot give any guarantee. A more or less well-known brand that values its name will produce quality products, but the price will already be higher.
The second factor of influence is steel. After the manufacturer, this is the most important parameter. Any seller will first of all ask what thickness of metal you need, and based on this, other parameters will be determined. Readings below 0.45 are not even worth looking at. Some people say that 0.4 mm is acceptable, but why risk it when you can choose a more reliable option. Ideally, of course, to purchase metal of 0.5 thickness, but it may not be affordable, so 0.45 is the best option.
The third factor is a protective layer, there are several varieties of it:
- Glossy Polyester;
- Matt Polyester Matt (PEMA);
- Pural Matt (PUMA);
- Rough matte Rough Polmatt (RAFMATT).
Gloss will be the cheapest, but it is permissible to purchase it only as a last resort, since this is the lowest quality protective layer. It quickly fade, scratches and loses its appearance. It is best to take a matt, if the budget is limited - Polyester Matt, and if there is an opportunity to purchase more expensive material, choose Pural Matt.
