Sheet duralumin

Sheet duralumin is used in construction, shipbuilding and aircraft construction. The production of aluminum sheet consists of several stages: manufacturing, deformation and processing. The most widely used is sheet d16at , it is characterized by the best indicators of structural strength, or, as they call it, crack resistance.

Properties

Aluminum alloy has the right qualities:

  • One of the strongest duralumin alloys. Duralumin is a hard but lightweight aluminum alloy;
  • In the hardened state, it almost does not bend, is capable of cracking at a very powerful fracture;
  • Cooking is acceptable, the reliability of welds is reduced;
  • In theory, it corrodes, however, due to the coating with the purest aluminum, it does not corrode in any way, including in the presence of scratches.
  • Very good conductor of heat and electricity.

Standards Compliant

These sheets meet all the necessary standards and GOSTs, this is an uncleaned duralumin rolled metal. The presence of small scratches and abrasions is acceptable, and in addition, the non-flatness allowed according to the template. If the client has special conditions, it is necessary to inform about it in advance.

Sheet composition

Sheet duralumin is a compound of aluminum, the main alloying components are copper, magnesium and pyrolusite. Belongs to deformable duralumin alloys, hardened by heat treatment. A characteristic feature of the alloy is considered to be its significant reliability, for this reason it can be used as power components of systems.

This compound is well spot welded. When using gas and argon welding with an additive, the sheet is prone to the formation of crystallization cracks. The stability threshold of the weld is 70-75% of the strength of the key material used. With overhardening and natural aging, the reliability reaches 90% of the strength of the main material used. The flexibility of the welds is reduced.

It is used in the construction industry, automotive industry, shipbuilding, and is also suitable for aircraft construction due to its lightness and high strength.
