Inflation in Ukraine in January 2013 in relation to December 2012 amounted to 0.2%. This was reported by the State Statistics Service.
According to the report, in January in January, food prices and soft drinks rose 0.3%.
The most significant (by 6.4%) went up the vegetables. Bread prices, pasta, milk, cheese, sour cream rose by 0.7-0.4%. Grain processing products, margarine, rice, sour-milk products, fruits, and non-alcoholic drinks went up by 0.3-0.2%.
At the same time, they note in the State Statistics Service, sugar prices decreased by 2.2%. At 0.8-0.5%, fish and foods from fish, pork, beef, and bids became cheaper.
Alcoholic drinks and tobacco products rose by 0.4%.
Tariffs for housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel increased by 0.4% due to the growth of fees for hot water, heating by 1.6% and a rent by 0.6%.
As we have already reported, Ukraine completed 2012 with deflation of 0.2%. The decline in consumer prices by the results of the year happened the first time after 2002 (then the deflation was 0.6%).
The NBU believes that the main factor in the decrease in the consumer price index (IPC) in 2012 was the cost of food products by 2.9%.
Recall that the head of the NBU Council Igor Prasolov said that deflation is harming the dynamics of the Ukrainian economy more than inflation.
