Japanese production of a thick -braided metal rolling should show some improvement this year after a recession in 2012. Demand growth is expected from manufacturers of construction machines and industrial equipment. This is stated in the forecast of the British analytical agency Meps.
However, the most risky segment of leaf steel consumption for Japanese metallurgists is the shipbuilding industry of the region. The ongoing fall in demand for new vessels has led to a significant reduction in demand for shipbuilding. In 2012, mainly due to the fall in the consumption of leaf -based shipbuilding companies in South Korea and China, Japanese metallurgical companies reduced the production of a hot -rolled sheet by 10%.
As Meps analysts predict, in 2013, thanks to incredible marketing efforts, the Asian shipbuilding shipyards will only be able to slightly increase the production of new vessels, slightly raising the consumption of shipyards.
The fall in the production of Japanese Tolstolystal steel in 2012 was much larger than the decline in the production of thin and medium hot -rolled sheets. Despite some improvement in demand in early 2013, sales prospects remain foggy, they say in Meps.
Japan has every chance to increase sales of thick -power steel - Meps
