HTZ reduced the production of pipes by 70%

The Khartsyz Pipe Plant, which is part of Metinvest, reduced the production of pipes by about 70% from January to August 2010 compared to the same period last year. If we take comparisons in August of the month of the current year, then the volume of production increased significantly compared to July - by 70.9%. Such a process took place not only in Khartsyz, but also at the rest of the tube enterprises of Ukraine. They reduced the production of pipes by 2.2%. The export of steel pipes to Russia decreased by 41% compared to the same period last year and reached 350 thousand tons. At the same time, the supply of pipes of its own production to the domestic market of the Russian Federation increased by 64.3% (by 1.5 million tons), and in general, the consumption of steel pipes in Russia for the first half of the year amounted to 4.4 million tons.
