In the first three months of this year, import prices for iron ore initially decreased and then increased. The lowest level of iron ore prices of $99/t for this period was observed on February 24, while the highest level of $111/t was observed on January 7, March 17 and March 20-23, according to SteelOrbis data.
In March alone, China's iron ore production totaled 79.639 million tons, which is 5.1% less than in the previous year.
