At the Ilyich plant, the overhaul of the steel unit No. 1 in the oxygen-converter workshop is carried out. Repair is carried out earlier than planned.
According to the deputy chief of the repair headquarters, the chief of the working cycle of the energy corps of the oxygen-converter shop Sergey Miroshnichenko, in connection with the accidents at CHPC No. 1, the production of cast iron decreased, so the management of the plant decided: in order to avoid production losses in October, when all domain furnaces will work, stop the main converter at the supporting overhaul in September.
During the overhaul, it is planned to replace the helmet of the neck and converter cone, partial repair of the boiler, replace the smoke car with a smoke car. In the production of repair work of metal structures, really high -quality welding equipment and materials will be used.
For major repairs, 12 days are allotted, the converter is planned on the night of September 25 to 26.
