According to statistics published by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE), in March this year, producer prices in French industry increased by two percent month-on-month and by 0.2 percent year-on-year. Manufacturer prices in France rose 2.4 percent in March from January and increased 2.7 percent year-on-year.
In the month, prices for exported industrial products rose 2.4 percent and prices for exported transport equipment rose 0.7 percent, both month-on-month. Year-on-year in March, prices for exported industrial products rose 1.3 percent, while prices for exported transport equipment fell 0.9 percent.
Meanwhile, import prices for industrial products in France rose 3.3 percent month-on-month and three percent year-on-year in March.
