Over the first half of 2010, Ukrainian enterprises engaged in operations with ferrous metal scrap increased export of scrap metal by 21.9% to 429.963 thousand tons, compared with APPG.
According to the facts, the scrap metal was exported to Turkey and Moldova ($ 301 million and $ 99 million).
It is known that the country in 2009 increased the export of scrap metal, compared with 2008 by 38.9%. However, the supply of scrap metal to metallurgical enterprises in 2009 fell compared to the previous year from 5.841 million tons to 4.602 million tons.
