Iron ore exports through Port Hedland decreased 0.2 percent in April 2026 compared to March

In April of this year, iron ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland decreased by 0.2 percent month-on-month and 0.9 percent year-on-year, amounting to 46,275,422 tons.

According to information published by the Port Authority Port Hedland, iron ore shipments from Port Hedland shipments to China totaled 38.48 million tons, remaining relatively stable compared to the previous month and down 6.4 percent year-on-year. South Korea and Japan followed China in March, receiving 3.44 million tons and 2.16 million tons, respectively.

On the other hand, iron ore shipments from Port Dampier increased by 19 percent month-on-month and 8.5 percent year-on-year to 13.51 million tons in April.
