Producer prices in French industry decreased by 2.1 percent in April 2026 compared to March.

According to statistics published by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE), producer prices in French industry decreased by 2.1 percent month-on-month and rose by 2.1 percent year-on-year in April this year. Producer prices for industrial products in France rose 0.7 percent in April compared with January and increased 3.8 percent year-on-year.

In this month, prices for exported industrial products increased by 0.9 percent, while prices for exported transport equipment decreased by 0.4 percent, both month-on-month. Year-on-year in April, prices for exported industrial products increased by 2.8 percent, while prices for exported transport equipment decreased by 0.2 percent.

Meanwhile, import prices for industrial products in France rose 1.3 percent month-on-month in April and rose five percent year-on-year.
