China dominates the list of the world's largest steel companies according to Worldsteel for 2025.

Китай доминирует в списке крупнейших сталелитейных компаний мира по версии Worldsteel на 2025 год.
According to data released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel), the Chinese company China Baowu Group retained its position as the world's largest steel company in 2025 with a total steel production of 124.76 million tons, compared with 130.09 million tons in 2024.

ArcelorMittal, headquartered in Luxembourg, was ranked by Japan's Nippon Steel Corporation, which rose to third place from fourth, increasing steel production to 57.78 million tons in 2025 from 43.64 million tons the previous year. China's Ansteel Group dropped to fourth place with a production volume of 57.61 million tons, while HBIS Group remained fifth with 42.49 million tons.

Chinese companies continue to dominate the ranking. Of the 77 companies producing more than 3 million tons of unrefined steel in 2025, 33 were headquartered in China, accounting for 42.9 percent of the list. This is followed by Russia with seven companies, representing 9.1 percent, and India with five companies, representing 6.5 percent. There were four companies on the U.

S. list with a 5.2 percent share.

Three companies represented Turkey in the worldsteel 2025 ranking: Tosyalı Holding, Erdemir Group and Habaş. This gave Turkey a 3.9 percent share in the list in terms of the number of companies, the same share as Japan and Germany.

Tosyalı Holding has demonstrated the highest results among Turkish steel producers. The company's steel production increased by 32.8 percent year-on-year to 12.11 million tons in 2025, compared with 9.12 million tons in 2024. As a result, Tosyalı has risen by 14 positions in the world ranking, rising to 32nd place from 46th place in 2024. Tosyalı also took the first place in the list of Turkish steel producers.

Erdemir Group took 52nd place in 2025, compared with 50th place in 2024. The company's steel production decreased by 5.3 percent year-on-year to 8.09 million tons from 8.54 million tons. Despite the downturn, Erdemir remained the second largest Turkish steel producer in the ranking.

Habaş took 72nd place in 2025, rising from 85th place in the previous year. The company's steel production remained unchanged year-on-year and amounted to 3.88 million tons. Thus, the growth of Habash in the rating reflected changes in production volumes and positions of other companies, rather than an increase in its own production volume.

The combined steel production of the three Turkish companies on the list was 24.08 million tons in 2025. Tosyalı accounted for about 50.3 percent of this total, while Erdemir represented 33.6 percent and Habaş 16.1 percent.
