According to statistics published by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE), industrial production in France remained unchanged in April this year compared to the previous month after growing by 0.1 percent in March this year. In the February-April quarter, French industrial output increased 1.2 percent year-on-year and 1.4 percent quarter-on-quarter.
French production of base metals and fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, rose 0.1 percent month-on-month in April, after rising 0.8 percent in the previous month.
On the other hand, in April, auto production in France's Vehicle, Trailer and Semi-Trailer Industry rose 1.5 percent month-on-month, following a 1.2 percent month-on-month increase in the previous month, while domestic construction industry output remained stable month-on-month in the month after declining 0.2 percent in March compared to February. In February-April, production volume of the domestic construction industry decreased by 1.6 percent compared to the previous quarter
